Trei Culori - Three Colors- was the title of the Romanian Communist anthem. The video depicts the dictator as the individual that falls into a state of unconsciousness while the anthem is being played. It is an animation in the style of some western satirical cartoons and that shows moments that could never be captured on film. The piece drifts the viewers attention away from the propagated imagery, speeches, parades, meetings and it composes a radically different perspective on how we think of fragments of history known to us from film recordings.
